Alice stood at the door, hesitating for a moment before stepping into the room. She knew that she would have to face her opponent’s challenge, and she felt both excited and nervous about it.
The room was dimly lit with only one light source hanging from the ceiling. It cast eerie shadows on the walls, making Alice shiver despite herself. Her opponent, a tall and imposing figure, stood across the room, waiting for her to make the first move.
As Alice approached him, he smirked and spoke in a deep voice, “Well, well, well… I see you’re here. But before we begin, let me remind you of the rules. You must remove your shoes and walk barefoot on this cold floor.”
Alice gulped but nodded reluctantly. She knew that she had no choice but to accept his challenge if she wanted to prove her worth. Slowly, she removed her shoes and placed them aside before stepping onto the icy-cold floor.
As soon as Alice stepped on the floor, a shiver ran down her spine. The coldness was unbearable, but she tried her best not to show it. Her opponent stared at her with a wicked grin on his face.
“Well, look at you… All trembling and helpless,” he taunted her, trying to break her spirit. But Alice refused to let him get the better of her. She steadied herself and looked back at him calmly.
Despite the pain that coursed through her feet, Alice managed a smile on her face. “I’m not afraid of you or your games,” she said firmly. “And I will never give up.”
Her opponent sneered but didn’t say anything else. The air in the room was thick with tension as both of them prepared for the battle that awaited them.
